Trident Maple has built an envious reputation as one of the most durable, urban-tolerant maple species in the industry.  The great challenge has been matching several trees together in plantings due to genetic variability.

Southern Selections is pleased to announce its first Trident Maple cultivar named Aeryn Aeryn® Trident Maple.  This clonal selection has distinct advantages over seedling grown Tridents.

From a grower's perspective, the dark green foliage of Aeryn® allows the tree to optimize growth in canopy and caliper at a rate similar to most Red Maple cultivars.  The Landscape Architect will appreciate the consistent uniformity and upright oval form.

Aeryn® Trident Maple is a selection that is tough enough for today's urban challenges and yet graceful to the most discerning eye.
